Internship Guide
The whole compulsory internship process: when, with which documents, and where to send them.

- Summer Internship Deadline
- 12 October 2026, 10:00 (GMT+3). After this date, late submissions are accepted for 10 days, until 22 October 2026, 10:00 (GMT+3). Each late day deducts 1 workday from the total internship period. Every 24 hours that begin after the deadline count as 1 late day, so a submission even a few minutes late counts as 1 day late. When the late window ends, online submission closes; after that, you may send your documents as a zip file to the internship assistants, with an email explaining your circumstances.

02 — Calendar
Permitted Internship Periods
Internships take place outside the academic terms. If you are not taking courses at Summer School, you may also complete an internship during that period.
Internship calendar 2026: Spring Semester February 9, 2026 – May 15, 2026 (Internship not permitted); Summer School June 24, 2026 – August 12, 2026 (Permitted if you are not taking courses); Fall Semester September 21, 2026 – December 11, 2026 (Internship not permitted); Summer Internship Deadline October 12, 2026, 10:00 (Deadline); Late-submission window 12 Oct–22 Oct 2026 (1 workday deducted for each late day)

03 — Process
Internship Process
- 01 / Before the Internship
Documents and Insurance
- If the company requests it, provide the Compulsory Internship Letter.
- Insurance: complete the EK-1, have the company sign it and send it to the internship coordinator, no earlier than one week and no later than two days before the internship begins. If that latest day is not a workday, send the form by the previous workday.
- 02 / During the Internship
Timetable and Notes
- Fill in the timetable every workday; reconstructing it later is far harder.
- Note your work from an Industrial Engineering perspective; the main section of the report grows out of these notes.
- If you work on Saturdays, get a signed or stamped Saturday Work Letter from the company; without it, those days do not count.
- 03 / After the Internship
Submission and Results
- Upload the Internship Report, the Trainee Evaluation Form, the Student Internship Survey and, if applicable, the Saturday Work Letter and the payment receipt or payslip with the EK-1 online by the deadline.
- If your insurance was started with the EK-1, submit the completion document from the company to Accounting Affairs (hesap@bogazici.edu.tr).
- Follow the announcements and the Results page for your result; results are announced periodically.
